S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 44.3 (sum of 38 datasets Dataset Index scores)

The purpose of this study is to conduct a bibliometric analysis to investigate research trends, collaboration networks, and thematic evaluations of publications on the topic of ergonomic equipment for the elderly. It employs a systematic literature review using the PRISMA method to examine research trends, publication productivity, and citation impact in the selected topic. The analysis reveals a significant surge in research interest over the past decade (2013-2023), with substantial contributions from various academic journals in Scopus. Bibliometric R and VOSviewer software are used to conduct the bibliometric analysis. The study reveals a substantial increase in the volume of literature related to ergonomic equipment for the elderly. "Applied Ergonomics" leads in productivity on this topic, while China and the USA are the most productive countries. The findings indicate a transition in research trends from earlier themes such as elderly care, universal design, and ergonomic design, to general ergonomics, and finally to high technology (artificial intelligence and virtual reality). Based on the findings, we suggest that future research should prioritize the development of advanced healthcare solutions for the elderly, incorporating latest technologies. These findings serve as a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, facilitating a deeper understanding of the evolving knowledge in this field.
