Users must clarify how they intend to use data here uploaded and whether the research protocol has been approved by an ethics commette. Data on unplished results will be available, under the same restriction, after publication.Dataset for the project “Targeting inflammation in depression using minocycline: a patient stratification approach using peripheral inflammatory biomarkers, PET and MRI”. Italian Ministry of Health, Italy, Ricerca Finalizzata (Grant RF-2018-12365308)Specific Aim 1:To recruit 60 depressed patients who have failed to respond to a current treatment with a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), as well as to another SSRI in the past, and show increased peripheral inflammation (serum CRP>2 mg/L);Specific Aim 2:To evaluate improvements in depressive symptoms and changes in peripheral and central inflammation (microglia with 11CPK PET) after 8 weeks of treatment with Minocycline added to their current SSRI;Specific Aim 3:To assess in all the included patients the effects of 8 weeks of treatment with Minocycline added to their current SSRI on structural, functional and molecular brain MRI features via brain MRI, and to evaluate whether changes in these brain MRI measures and in peripheral inflammation biomarkers, reflect changes in central (microglia) inflammation and correlate with improvement in depressive symptoms.The present dataset contains the following RawData:Ø  RawData_Aim2 [Unpublished Data]:Ø  A dataset (excel file) containing in the first column the sample ID and in the following columns:§  Clinical scores at baseline (T0) and follow-up (T8)·       HAM-D_T0    ·       BDI_T0         ·       STAIS_T0     ·       STAIT_T0     ·       CGI1_T0      ·       HAM-D_T8    ·       BDI_T8         ·       STAIS_T8     ·       STAIT_T8·       CGI1_T8§  CRP value expressed at baseline (T0) and follow-up (T8):·       CRP_T0        ·       CRP_T8§  Rawdata_ProteinExpression at baseline (T0) and follow-up (T8) (one column for each protein):·       Fractalkine_T0      ·       GM-CSF_T0  ·       IFN_T0        ·       IL-10_T0      ·       IL-12(p70)_T0        ·       IL-13_T0      ·       IL-17A_T0    ·       IL-1beta_T0 ·       IL-2_T0        ·       IL-21_T0      ·       IL-23_T0      ·       IL-4_T0        ·       IL-5_T0·       IL-6_T0        ·       IL-7_T0        ·       IL-8_T0        ·       ITAC_T0      ·       MIP-1a_T0   ·       MIP-1beta_T0        ·       MIP-3a_T0   ·       TNFa_T0      ·       IL-1b_T0      ·       MIF_T0        ·       TNF_T0       ·       Fractalkine_T8      ·       GM-CSF_T8  ·       IFN_T8        ·       IL-10_T8      ·       IL-12(p70)_T8        ·       IL-13_T8      ·       IL-17A_T8    ·       IL-1beta_T8 ·       IL-2_T8        ·       IL-21_T8      ·       IL-23_T8      ·       IL-4_T8·       IL-5_T8        ·       IL-6_T8        ·       IL-7_T8        ·       IL-8_T8        ·       ITAC_T8      ·       MIP-1a_T8   ·       MIP-1beta_T8        ·       MIP-3a_T8   ·       TNFa_T8      ·       IL-1b_T8      ·       MIF_T8        ·       TNF_T8§  output of absolute gene expression analyses at baseline (T0) and follow-up (T8) (one column for each gene):·       IL-1beta T0  ·       IL-1beta T8  ·       TNF_T0       ·       TNF_T8       ·       MIF_T0        ·       MIF_T8        ·       IL_23_T0     ·       IL_23_T8     ·       IFN_T0·       IFN_T8·       IL-5_T0·       IL-5_T8·       IL-4_T0·       IL-4_T8

Substance use disorder and risk of violence - VIORMED study (2014-2016)

This study published by DASSI was previously archived at UniData - Bicocca Data Archive. Substance use disorder and risk of violence is a dataset related to the VIORMED (VIOlence Risk and MEntal Disorders) study carried out in 2014-2016. The aim of the study is to compare patients with severe mental disorders and with different substance use behaviours in terms of socio-demographic and clinical characteristics and assess violent behaviour during one-year follow-up. The collected data deal with a prospective cohort study conducted at residential facilities and at four Departments of Mental Health in Italy. The study included 378 participants with Severe Mental Disorders (SMD) and were categorized as Persons with Current Substance Users (PCSU), Persons with Former Substance Users (PFSU) and Persons with Non-Substance Users (PNSU). Patients were assessed with several standardised instruments used in the feld of psychiatric research. Data point out that PFSU showed significantly higher scores for lifetime history of aggressive behaviour compared with patients with PNSU. The results of the close one-year monitoring show a significantly higher risk of violence for patients with SMD who are PCSU, compared to PFSU and PNSU.
