Blood pressure and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (Version: 1.0)

Hypertension and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) frequently coexist and share pathophysiological mechanisms. However, despite the known association between these diseases, the cut-off values of blood pressure for identifying NAFLD have not yet been determined. We showed that even high-normal blood pressure is a risk factor that may contribute to NAFLD development. Timely determination and control of blood pressure can be a potentially important aspect of preventing the development and progression of NAFLD.
