S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 1.6 (sum of 7 datasets Dataset Index scores)

Datasets
This dataset contains daily precipitation data from the NAME Event Raingage Network (NERN). This raingage network consists of 100 tipping bucket raingages that have been installed in primarily east-west transects across the Sierra Madre Occidental in Northwest Mexico. 50 gages were installed in 2002 and 50 more are to be installed in 2003. The Begin and End Dates shown for this dataset are general. Stations included may not report data for the complete time period. For more information regarding this dataset, please see the readme document.
