Data from 72hXeHT therapy after HIE (03-2019)

This project is aimed at investiagting the feasibility of administration of 72-78 hours of xenon with hypothermia after global hypoxic-ischemic insult or sham insult with or without hypothermia in newborn pigs. The study had four piglets that received 78 hours of xenon following hypoxic-ischaemic insult and three piglets that received 72 hours of xenon following sham insult under normothermia. Data deposited include the technical feasibility data of administering xenon and oxygen at a constant concentration using an automated controller in a closed loop system. Data pertaining to the lung function and gas exchange also included.
