S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 6.3 (sum of 3 datasets Dataset Index scores)

These files are supplementary material for "Update on the Ivory-billed Woodpecker (Campephilus principalis) scandal," J. Theor. Comp. Acoust. 31, 2350021 (2023). UPDATE: With 2024 being the 20th anniversary of the rediscovery of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker in Arkansas and the 100th anniversary of the first rediscovery, I submitted to Science and Nature manuscripts (available here) on "Twenty Years of Squandering an Opportunity to Save an Iconic Species." They dismissed those submissions just as they did the strongest evidence years ago.

This dataset contains raw video footage of Ivory-billed Woodpeckers that was obtained in Louisiana in 2006 and 2008 and in Florida in 2007. There are interlaced versions in the original codec directly from the digital video tape and progressive versions that were de-interlaced.
