S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 2.1 (sum of 2 datasets Dataset Index scores)

Dataset on brown trout (Salmo trutta) life history, metabolic status and reproductive success used in a control experiment of reproduction, to study the impact of water flow stochasticity on reproductive investment and reproductive success. Experiment A and B1 are under constant water flow. Experiment B2 is under stochastic water flow. In A, only wild fish from river Bastan, France, are placed in the channel. FOr experiments B1 and B2, wild fish from river Bastan, France , and river Urumea, Spain, are placed in sympatry in the channel. At the beginning and end of the experiment and therefore the reproduction period (duration: 2 months), fish are measured for a set of traits, and 2 months after they are removed from the channel and released in their river of origin, emerging fry are sampled and genetically assigned to their potential parents.
