S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 1.6 (sum of 2 datasets Dataset Index scores)

43 different accessions/varieties of finger millet were randomly distributed to 200 farmers using the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT Climmob Version 2 software( http://climmob.net/Version_2/menu.html ). Three blind varieties were given to each farmer coded A, B and C and were planted in three 2m by 3m plots. A total of 8 villages with 25 farmers from each were engaged. This data set comprised of a total of 163 farmers who managed to successfully evaluate the three blind varieties they were given and successfully shared their data.
