S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 5.8 (sum of 5 datasets Dataset Index scores)

This dataset includes the tridimensional modeled temperature and associated research data that support the results of the article "Comprehensive characterization of Marine Heatwaves in a coastal Northern Humboldt Current System regional model over recent decades". Specifically, it consists of three files (NetCDF format):
i) Northern_MHWs.nc, this file contains the daily modeled temperature (from 2000 to 2019) within the northern domain of analysis (3-8°S) within the 250 km nearshore band for each vertical layer ranging from 0 to 250m depth. In addition, daily snapshots of MHW intensity are also included by depth.
ii) Central_MHWs.mat, similar to the previous file, but for the central domain of analysis, from 8 to 13°S.
iii) Southern_MHWs.mat, similar to the previous file, but for the southern domain of analysis, from 13 to 18°S.

This dataset includes the model results and associated research data that support the summary results of the article "Full-dimensional structure of marine heatwaves in the Northern Humboldt Current System during recent decades: A modelling study". Specifically, it consists of four files (in Matlab format) namely:
i) Surface_MHWs.mat, this file contains the daily snapshots of MHWs intensity and category at the surface, from 2000 to 2019, within 70-93°W in longitude and from 21°S to 3°N in latitude;
ii) Northern_MHWs.mat, this file contains the daily modeled temperature (from 2000 to 2019) within the northern domain of analysis (3-8°S) within the 250 km nearshore band for each vertical layer ranging from 0 to 250m depth. In addition, the average MHWs metrics are also included by depth, which are: density, intensity, duration, and frequency.
iii) Central_MHWs.mat, similar to the latter, but for the central domain of analysis, from 8 to 13°S.
iv) Southern_MHWs.mat, performed for the southern domain of analysis (13-18°S).
