S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 1.6 (sum of 2 datasets Dataset Index scores)

This repository contains two zipped elements used in the study Interannual Dynamics of Ice Cliff Populations on Debris-Covered Glaciers from Remote Sensing Observations and Stochastic Modeling: 1. The cliff & pond shapefiles (Outlines.zip) of each of the study glaciers every year from 2009 (2010 for Satopanth and Bhagirath Kharak) to 2019. 2. The R scripts (Codes.zip) used to derive cliff & pond information from shapefiles, track cliffs from one date to another and model the cliff population dynamics on a debris-covered glacier with a stochastic birth-death model.
