Nymphoides indica, as one of the aquatic plants, is an invasive plant that causes both ecological and economic damages in North America and elsewhere. Here, we report a chromosome-level genome assembly for the 9 pseudochromosomes of N. indica with a total size of 520Mb using Pacbio PacBio long reads, Illumina sequences and high-throughput chromosome conformation capture data. Collectively, the high-quality N. indica genome reported here opened a novel way to understand its evolution and rapid invasion of Nymphoides plants, which will provide a genetic foundation for its biological control.

Pinellia pedatisecta is a traditional Chinese herb with a long history usage. Here, we report a chromosome-level genome assembly for the 13 pseudochromosomes of P. pedatisecta with a total size of 1,182.37 Mb based on PacBio, Illumina, and Hi-C data. The major aims of this study were to construct a high-quality reference genome and metabolic profiles of P. pedatisecta, which allows a better understanding of evolution in P. pedatisecta and provides insights for the molecular breeding and medicinal properties.

Pistia stratiotes (Araceae) is one of the most notorious weeds that can cause serious damage to economy and natural ecosystems of infested areas. Herein, we assembled a chromosome-level for P. stratiotes with a genome size of 311.87 Mb based on PacBio, Illumina, and Hi-C data. In total, assembling the Pistia stratiotes genome provides new insights into its evolution and rapid invasive adaptation and the genome evolution of the Araceae family.
