This dataset contains data used for a secondary analysis of Pediatric admissions at Kilifi County Hospital (KCH) from 2009 to 2019 linked to the Kilifi Health Demographic Surveillance System (KHDSS). The objective of the study was to describe admission trends and measure inpatient and post-discharge mortality and its associated exposures, including the introduction of free maternity care, among young infants aged <60 days old admitted to KCH, Kenya.
