Data employed to study cultural and psychosocial factors affecting breast cancer screening in an urban Argentine population are depicted. 850 women were interviewed indicating occupation, place of residence, marital status and neighborhood; based on these categories, two groups were formed: low economic power (Low group, LG) (379 women) and middle economic power (MG) (471); age was 45-79 years old. The questionnaire employed included information about socially shared values, beliefs, expectations and motivations, health care system, educational level, occupation, and information about breast cancer and mammographic screening was assessed. It is an excell file which columns show data and files number of cases.
