S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 0.9 (sum of 3 datasets Dataset Index scores)

These two files are the result of a manuscript titled, 'Higher metrics of health and reproductive readiness detected in songbirds with chronic Plasmodium infections persist following experimental inoculation'. We first compared metrics of health (mass, scaled mass, hematocrit, activity rate) and reproductive readiness (cloacal protuberance volume, maximum testosterone concentration in plasma) in male songbirds (Dark-eyed junco, Junco hyemalis hyemalis) with and without chronic Plamodium infections. Then, we quantified the change in these metrics following experimental inoculation with Plasmodium, and asked whether these changes varied between males with and without chronic Plasmodium infections. The file ending in "_Dataframe" contains all data analyzed for this manuscript. The file ending in "_Results" includes three tables of results from the dataframe.

This file contains data for an experimental inoculation project aimed at understanding physiological impacts of Plasmodium in breeding-condition songbirds. The 'readme' tab contains explanations for columns on each spreadsheet.
