In opdracht van Eemgoed ontwikkel BV heeft EARTH Integrated Archaeology in de periode september 2019 tot april 2022 archeologisch onderzoek uitgevoerd binnen plangebied ’t Eemgoed te Almere Oosterwold. De aanleiding voor het onderzoek is de ontwikkeling van landgoed ’t Eemgoed. Door een fout in het bestemmingsplan van de gemeente Almere is pas laat in het planvormingsproces gebleken dat het plangebied een AMK-terrein betreft en daarmee een hoge archeologische waardebezit. Uit eerder uitgevoerd archeologisch onderzoek is gebleken dat in het plangebied waardevolle archeologische resten liggen, welke door geplande ontwikkeling van het plangebied worden bedreigd. Het verplaatsen van het plangebied was financieel en logistiek niet haalbaar, maar ook het volledig KNA conform waarderen en behoud ex situ van de archeologische resten was financieel niet haalbaar. Derhalve is in afstemming tussen opdrachtgever en de Gemeente Almere waarderend archeologisch onderzoek uitgevoerd binnen een taakstellend budget.
