S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 1.0 (sum of 1 dataset Dataset Index scores)

This research aims to serve as a basis for conceptual design of beach fill projects with sand dunes which are modified from traditional design templates to address ecological needs. The data in this project can be reused to inform future efforts in this space. This project is unique because it uses recently a recently developed metric of dune vulnerability to address a research need regarding changes in practice to artificial, engineered dune construction. The audience is coastal engineers and managers involved in beach nourishment projects as well as coastal ecologists who can benefit from understanding the role engineering can play in coastal habitat improvement.
