Task WP9 of the MINKE project involved an inter-laboratory comparison of the calibration of a CTD SBE 37 probe. A calibration of this probe was carried out by 4 different laboratories, the Shom, the NOC, the OGS and Ifremer, in order to ensure that the initial calibration carried out at a practical salinity of 35 allowed the instrument to be used at other practical salinities: 10, 38 and 28. This study resulted in deliverable D9.8, entitled ‘Report on the calibration of absolute salinometers’, and the data used to produce it are available here.
