This data set contains vegetation cover data collected in three grassland/meadow areas at Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park (CEBE) in summer 2025. These data were collected to expand available data about park natural resources, and to provide a snapshot of vegetation composition in these areas following initial restoration treatments, and prior to further restoration work planned for 2026-2027. Data were collected along 46 50-m line-point-intercept (LPI) transects, which were drawn in a spatially balanced sample of the three meadows, with an additional two targeted points drawn specifically for the Bowman-Hite meadow to increase the sample of that meadow. All live vascular plant species hit at each of 50 pin drops were recorded along every transect, in addition to woody and herbaceous litter (including rooted dead plants) and the soil surface. This data set includes the cleaned, unsummarized LPI data (lpidata.csv), unsummarized LPI data in a "tall" format with all vegetation layers in one column (lpidata_tall.csv), all unique species recorded on the transects (species.csv), the original spreadsheets tracking unknown plants and incorrect species codes and their corrections (unknowns.csv and knownerrors.csv), mean cover of each species by transect (species_cover_byTransect.csv) and by meadow/site (species_cover_bySite.csv), and mean cover of various vegetation and soil cover classes by transect (vegetation_cover_byTransect.csv) and meadow/site (vegetation_cover_bySite.csv).
