MapBiomas Soil Brazil - Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document (ATBD) - Collection 3 (Beta)

Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document (ATBD) for MapBiomas Soil Brazil - Collection 3 (Beta). This technical document describes the enhanced field and covariate data, and the regression models trained to predict: 1) the updated annual series of soil organic carbon stocks (0–30 cm) for 1985–2024; 2) particle size fractions and texture maps for 10-cm thick layers extending down to 100 cm depth; and 3) new maps of depth to stoniness thresholds (where the coarse fraction volume exceeds 50% or 90%). It details the rationale, underlying theory, and key results of the algorithms.
