S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 6.8 (sum of 13 datasets Dataset Index scores)

This file contains sightings and group size data collected by GVI and KWS on the Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin population from 2006 to 2009 in southern Kenya . The data is organized by grids of 1km2. The latitude and longitude are the centroid of each grid. A total of 10 environmental variables (5 dynamic and 5 static) are included for each grid during each season. Only grids with a minimum effort on each season are included on this file and for this reason different grids were sampled over the study period. Sightings and group size data are provided on absolute number and binomial (presence/absence).
