The datasets contain carbon whole rock data of drill cuttings retrieved from geothermal systems in Iceland and chemical and isotopic chemical data of carbonates from these geothermal systems. In addition, the chemical and isotopic composition of geothermal fluids from the respective areas is included.

This dataset contains d13C, d18O, D47 (I-CDES), and D48 (CDES90) data from two species of cultured coccolithophores, Gephyrocapsa oceanica and Gephyrocapsa muellerae. The samples were measured at Goethe University Frankfurt. The full session-specific input data and session-specific correction parameters are compiled to allow for re-analysis.

This dataset is accompanying with the manuscript "Isotopic and kinetic constraints on methane origins in Icelandic hydrothermal fluids". It contains analytical data on carbon species concentrations and hydrogen, helium, carbon and oxygen isotope compostion of hydrothermla fluids. The data were used in the study to constain the origin of methane in hydrothermal fluids in Iceland. Data are provided as a Word file.
