This is the dataset associated with the study described in Matthis, Yates, and Hayhoe (2018), 'Gaze and the control of foot placement when walking in natural terrain,' published in Current Biology
It contains all of the raw and post-processed data associated with that study, as well as the Matlab code needed to generate the figures in that manuscript from the raw data.
The data includes the raw and processed videos from the Positive Science mobile eye tracker, as well as the raw and processed data from the Motion Shadow IMU-based motion capture suit.

Data is derived from the integration of a Positive Science mobile eye tracker and a Motion Shadow IMU-based tetherless motion capture system. The recording occurred at the Shoal Creek Greenbelt in Austin TX
The left video panel shows the gaze data from the eye tracker situated in the the 3D coordinate systems the motion tracker. The pink line shows gaze location on the ground plane, and the red and blue dots show the locations locations of future footholds as reported by the motion tracker.
