Dataset for: Low-cost UAV-based Agricultural Remote Sensing Platform (UAV-ARSP) for surveying crop statistics in sampling areas (maize)

The 22 multiespectral aerial images portray a maiz crop field at CIP. The images were captured with a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS), the system included an OKtokoter platform and an multiespectral camera (ADC-Tetracam). The multiespectral images are composed of information in the NIR, Red and Green bands. The images were acquired during the growing season.

Dataset for: Entomological collection database for potato and sweetpotato at CIP

The Entomological Collection of the International Potato Center (CIP) houses insects mainly related to potato and sweet potato crops. Peru is the center of origin of the potato and secondary center of genetic diversity of sweet potato, consequently possess the greatest diversity of species pests and natural enemies related to these crops. Our entomological collection has more than 9000 records in our online catalog that correspond to more than 48000 specimens collected since 1947. These specimens come from 26 countries in America, Europe, Asia and Africa; which constitutes the largest entomological collection in potato and sweet potato in the World. The collection of insects is a way to register, conserve and disseminate scientific knowledge about the great insect diversity in potato and sweet potato ecosystems. This collection is used by a growing number of researchers, students and farmers and now the searches can be done easily through the our web
