S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 1.4 (sum of 2 datasets Dataset Index scores)

Weather data applied as input to partially saturated finite element models of Hawkwell railway embankment. Results and other model parameters are described in "The influence of tree root water uptake on the long term hydrology of a clay fill railway embankment":Funded by EPSRC (Industrial Doctorate Centre: Transport and the Environment; EP/G036896/1).

Data to accompany paper on “Tritrophic mismatch in space and time”. Observations are on the phenology of oak first leaf date and the peak caterpillar frass date across the UK for the period 1998 to 2016. The oak phenology data were collected by the Nature’s Calendar citizen science scheme (https://naturescalendar.woodlandtrust.org.uk/). We request that anyone who wishes to use these data informs [email protected]. The caterpillar frass data were collected by various groups. We request that anyone wishing to use these data contacts Malcolm Burgess ([email protected]).
