S-Index Interpretation
The S-Index (Sharing Index) is a comprehensive metric that represents the cumulative impact of all your datasets. It is calculated as the sum of Dataset Index scores across all your claimed datasets.
What it means:
- A higher S-index indicates greater overall impact of your datasets relative to typical datasets in their fields of research
- The S-Index grows as you add more datasets or as existing datasets gain more citations and mentions
- It provides a single number to track your research data impact over time
Current S-Index: 362.2 (sum of 12 datasets Dataset Index scores)

This collection concerns mainly plants, within the Fabaceae family sensus lato, with medicinal properties or used in traditional medicine, but it does not exclude other sympatric species. This database was extracted from the four collections of reference specimens on medicinal plants deposited at the CNARP herbarium: http://ipt.madbif.mg/resource?r=medicinal_plants_orstom_cnarp&v=1.0, http://ipt.madbif.mg/resource?r=medecinal_plants_cnarp&v=1.0, http://ipt.madbif.mg/resource?r=medecinal_plants_nci_cnarp&v=1.0 and http://ipt.madbif.mg/resource?r=medecinal_plants_icbg_cnarp&v=1.1

The ICBG program consisted of plants for biologically active molecules. The work was carried out by CNARP, M.B.G., Conservation International, CNRE, PBZT, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University , Brystol Myers Squibb, Pharmaceutical Research Institute and Dow AgroSciences. Plant specimens were collected to enrich the reference collection of CNARP.

plant specimens collected under the NCI program from 1991 to 2004 and conserved at the CNARP herbarium. The NCI program was carried out by the Ethnobotany Department of CNARP in collaboration with Missouri Botanical Garden from 1991 to 2004. It was about medicinal plants. The specimens collected during the program was conserved at the CNARP herbarium.

The digitization of these collections was initiated during the first stage of SEP-CEPDEC and the numerization of this family was made possible through the BID-AF2015-006-REG project funded by the European Union through the BID program managed by GBIF.
