This dataset concerns medicinal plant specimens collected under medicinal plants census programs carried out by the Ethnobotany Department of CNARP from 1977 onwards and conserved at the institution herbarium.

The ICBG program consisted of plants for biologically active molecules. The work was carried out by CNARP, M.B.G., Conservation International, CNRE, PBZT, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University , Brystol Myers Squibb, Pharmaceutical Research Institute and Dow AgroSciences. Plant specimens were collected to enrich the reference collection of CNARP.
