Description

This dataset contains data to obtain the NMR relaxation parameters T1 and T2, as well as the self-diffusion coefficients of different small molecules (maltenes) in a solvent in the absence and presence of a high asphaltene concentration.
Therefore, different maltenes were chosen (see README file) and solutions consisting of 95vol% solvent and 5vol% maltene were prepared (Pure). The solvents were benzene-d6 and benzene for proton-bearing maltenes and completely
deuterated maltenes, respectively. The relaxation parameters of the maltenes protons/deuterons were measured using the inversion recovery (T1) and the Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill (T2) pulse sequence, while the stimulated echo pulse sequence was used to determine the self-diffusion coefficient. To determine further the parameters in presence of an asphaltene, the same solutions containing a high concentration of asphaltene (150g/l) were prepared (Slb). The experiments were conducted at room temperature (20 °C) at a magnetic field strength of 7.05T.
This dataset contains the raw and processed data of these experiments.
