Description

Malnutrition is common among older adults. Dietary intervention studies in older adults which aimed at improving anthropometrics measures and physical function have been inconsistent. The aim of this six-month randomized controlled intervention was to investigate the effects of nutrition therapy following the principles of nutrition care process (NCP) in combination with home delivered meals and oral nutrition supplements (ONS) in community-dwelling older adults discharged from hospital. We looked at body composition and physical function to determine the effects of our intervention.
