Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1986 comprises 20 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1986. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The questions common to all 1986 omnibuses are: #The respondent's sex, age and marital status; size of the household, number of adults (persons aged 15 or more) and children, and age of the children; the respondent's position in the household; the respondent's education, occupational status, public or private employment and income; education, occupational status and public or private employment of the head of the household; gross household income; the housewife's occupational status; housing conditions and ownership of the dwelling as well as geographical location and degree of urbanization; which party the respondent voted for at the last general election; and which party the respondent would vote for at a general election on the day after the interview. # #The special questions in this omnibus deal with the following issues: # #Attitude to a reduction of the number of political refugees; attitude to the Government's retrenchment policy (the so-called 'potato cure') in order to reduce the balance of payments deficit; possible effects of the economic tightening; whether the money collected by Dansk Flygtningehjælp (the Danish Refugee Council) will be used for refugees in other countries or for refugees in Denmark as well; and whether this help may encourage some political refugees to come to Denmark
