Description

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1962, Part 1 comprises 20 of the 28 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1962. #In the months January to April, the Danish Gallup Institute carried out approximately one omnibus survey per week, but starting in May the frequency was changed to one omnibus survey per month. This part contains the first 20 weekly omnibus surveys, whereas the last 8 monthly surveys are found in DDA-1472: Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1962, Part 2. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables and some variables dealing with current topics. The demographic variables are common to all the surveys and form the basis of the year file, which contains the demographic variables for all cases in the 20 omnibuses. #The common variables are: residence according to degree of urbanization; the respondent's sex, age, marital status, occupational status and gross income; household gross income; occupational status, income and age of head of household; type of dwelling; number of children under the age of 15; the age of the children; size of household; occupational status of housewife; and party preference. #In the weekly surveys, the variables on current topics were repeated in four consecutive surveys, and therefore the surveys have been collected into five clusters with four surveys in each cluster. # #The special questions in this cluster deal with the following issues: #Development aid; and attitudes to Danish membership of NATO
