Description
Dataset for surgical site infection surveillance of patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery (gastrectomy, cholecystectomy, colorectal resection, rectal resection, and appendectomy) From 2003 to 2015, SSI surveillance of gastrointestinal surgery was conducted at two university hospitals and 24 university-affiliated hospitals in the Kansai region. Data were collected according to the Japan Nosocomial Infection Surveillance (JANIS); patients aged 20 years or older were included in the data set.
