Description

This dataset contains demographic, parasitological, immunological, and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) data from 850 Zimbabwean individuals participating in a longitudinal study of urogenital schistosomiasis (S. haematobium) infection. Individuals from an S. haematobium-endemic region were genotyped for 35 SNPs across genes encoding cytokines and associated transcription factors, and the role of these SNPs in modulating susceptibility to S. haematobium infection and cytokine production was analysed.
