Description

ABSTRACT In the world scenario, a range of services are emerging that, in addition to integrating collections from different cultural institutions, make them available to the user in an integrated and accessible way, as is the example of Europeana, a platform that covers European countries and has more than 3,500 collaborating institutions in 39 countries and provides access to more than 53 million digital cultural objects. In Brazil, existing initiatives are limited and isolated, with low reach and integration between institutions. This research seeks to identify elements related to the governance model of twenty network services, presented in a technical study of Europeana, seeking to highlight its way of functioning in institutional and financing terms and presents a categorical view of its management model, trying to identify the emerging governance models of the empirical field of this exploratory research. As a result, it was possible to observe some models that can help in the elaboration of arrangements that allow the creation of sustainable integrated digital collections services for the Brazilian reality.
