Description

The response of soil microbiomes to the kerosene pollution is uncertain. Here, we model the influence of kerosene spillage on the composition of the topsoil microbiome in different soils (Fibric Histosols, Dystric Arenosols and Albic Luvisols) in pot and field experiments with different added kerosene loads (loads up to 100 g/kg; retention time up to 360 days), measuring kerosene concentration and sequencing variable regions of 16S ribosomal RNA in the microbial communities at different time points. Content: (1) Amplicon sequence variant (ASV) tables (after decontamination with decontam, removing of singletones, ASV assigned to “Chloroplast” and ASVs not classified at the domain level) with assigned taxonomy and phylogenetic tree) in phyloseq format: -kerosene_ASV_V3V4.rds -kerosene_ASV_V4V5.rds (2) Data on the kerosene content, soil physicochemical properties (рН, moisture, cation exchange capacity (CEC), content of soil organic matter (SOM), available phosphorus (Pav), potassium (Kav), exchangeable ammonium (NH4+), and water-soluble nitrate (NO3–)), as well as on biological consumption of oxygen and cellulolytic activity: -Soil_physicochemical_properties.tsv (3) Visualisation of taxonomic composition of samples in the middle of experiment (day 90 and 180 after treatment) in format of Krona plot. Samples were downsampled to 10000 counts, replicas were combined. On the plots the samples are marked in the format soil_typeOfExperiment_keroseneLoad. -kerosene_V3V4_krona.html -kerosene_V4V5_krona.html (4) Abundances of metabolic pathways in samples predicted by Picrust2 (files "path_abun_unstrat.tsv" from Picrust2 output). -kerosene_V3V4_pathways.tsv -kerosene_V4V5_pathways.tsv
