Description

There are five zip files with the raw sequence data used in the article "Maestre, F. T. et al. 2022. Grazing and ecosystem service delivery in global drylands. Science 378, 915–920".
The file "16S_FM001-FM140.zip" contains the 16S data for the samples 1-140. The file "16S_FM141-FM266.zip" contains the 16S data for the samples 141-266. The file "18S_FM001-FM150.zip" contains the 18S data for the samples 1-150. The file "18S_FM151-FM230.zip" contains the 18S data for the samples 151-230. The file "18S_FM231-FM266.zip" contains the 18S data for the samples 231-266. The file "Genomic_Data_Maestre.xls" contains the codes and names of the sites (see the metadata sheet for a description of the variables of this file). These codes/names correspond to those given in the companion database containing the rest of the data used in the paper (https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.14923065.v1). All the methodological details of how the genomic data can be obtained can be found in the article
