Description
The long-term observation data of soil moisture from eight ecosystem observation and research stations of the Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN) located in the arid and semi-arid region of China during 2005 - 2017 are collected and sorted out and converted to the corresponding soil water storage dataset through quality control, spatial and temporal normalization, statistical calculation. It can provide long-term data support for understanding distribution and change of soil water storage in typical ecosystems in arid and semi-arid areas of China.
