Description

As described in paper "Multi-period crew scheduling for the regular round trips in the road freight transportation", one of the possible approaches to manage with crew scheduling problem for regular trips is the arc flow formulation. The goal is to find the minimum number of drivers serving given routes, taking into account all restrictions. In order to formulate a mathematical model, the information on intercity transportation (hereinafter — scenario) is required: Distances - a partition of the entire route into segments of a specific duration in hours, taking into account the restriction on one work shift. Crew size - a number of drivers necessary to serve each part of the route. Departures forward - departure time in forward direction for each part of the route. Departures backward - departure time in backward direction for each part of the route.
