Figures of merit (Limits of Dectection – LOD and quantification – LOQ) for the ICP-MS analysis of lanthanides.To determine LOD, five calibration solutions were analyzed in the range 0.1 – 100 µg/L. The corresponding linear calibration equations were derived and LOD calculated from the equation: LOD = (standard deviation of the intercept at the origin / slope) * 3.3. Finally, LOQs were estimated as three times of the corresponding LODs.
