Description

A Study on the Diversity and Breakdown of Different Races in Accordance with the Questionnaire they asked in South Central Los Angeles, 1992 August 19. PART OF A SERIES: In addition to interviewing law enforcement personnel and elected officials, the Webster Commission also solicited the opinion of community members during the course of its investigation. Toward this end, the Commission organized a series of community meetings in several Los Angeles neighborhoods, which provided the average citizen an opportunity to express his/her concerns regarding the riots and the adequacy of law enforcement's response. Included in the series are summaries and transcripts from several of these meetings, as well as surveys and questionnaires that captured the communities' perceptions of police-community relations within Los Angeles.
