This was the first year the Tournament of Roses was televised, at this time by Don Lee Broadcasting's W6XAO. Floats shown include: Coca-Cola (giraffe), "Light and Power" (fountain), Santa Barbara (sailboats), Lynwood ("Mechanical Ace," robot pulling globe), and Van de Kamp (cake and windmill).
