Description

Morphological traits of seeds (or the dispersule) are important functional traits related to dispersal (seed morphology) and storage of reserves (seed mass). The data contain seed mass and measured morphological traits (projected area, straight length, curved length, straight width, curved width, curvature, width-to-length ratio and projected perimeter) for the seed material used in the seed addition plots of the land-use experiment (REX). The data collection was part of the project SeedDiv within the framework of the DFG-funded joint project Biodiversity Exploratories (https://www.biodiversity-exploratories.de).
