11 photographs of the launch of a Pan American flying boat, NC18606, produced in June, Treasure Island, San Francisco, 1939 July 6. The airplane was launched while in the water like a ship, and flew from the water after launch. "Pan American Airways System" and "PAA" are written on the airplane.
