8 photographs of a blast and resulting pile of rock in quarry #2, Los Angeles County, California, 1936 March 3. "Client: Cha[rles] Hopper, Mr. Gilliland; Classifications: I Construction" -- on envelope front. Images 1,2, and 3 have text reading "Quarry: Sandstone No. 2; Hole Dimensions: 5 [feet]--Tunnel 45 [feet] --Cross Cut, 5 [feet]; Am[oun]t & kind Explosive: 8845 Lbs of Halifax 20%; Time: 10:40 A.M., March 3, 1936." The other images have dates. "Operator's report, name: Dean; 8 original photographs -- size: 8x10; ext[eriors]; out of city; Amount: 12.00; 50 miles transportation at 7 c[ents] - Amount: 3.00; 4 hours time - Amount: 8.00; Printing on neg[ative]s: 4.00" -- on envelope back. The negative envelope indicates that the Whittington studio fulfilled one print order.
