"August 19, 1937, 756 South Broadway, Los Angeles, California; This is to confirm our telephone advice to you yesterday to arrange to take publicity pictures of our plant, all of which are to be exteriors. Mr. Hooper or Mr. Schmidt will give you the outline of the pictures to be taken when you contact them. In addition, we suggested that you contact Mr. Lillevand, Dock Superintendent of the Grace Line . . . to ascertain at that time when would be the best hour to take pictures on their dock showing the loading of a shipment of Dicalite on board the steamer 'Santa Paula', which shipment is going to Havana, Cuba. ([note] Berth 146) We would like to have you take a close up of the bags in a sling showing the label on the bag that the destination is Havana, Cuba. Then show a picture of that same sling of material half-way up the side of the boat and then another picture which will give the name of the boat. . . .
