"Subject: Army Ordnance Show at L[os] A[ngeles] Coliseum, sponsored by L[os] A[ngeles] Times." "Classification: H-3; Year: 1943; Job no. F9-12-3" -- on envelope front. "War Department, Bureau of public Relations, Washington, September 12, 1943, To Visit Ordnance Training Center, 'Army Ordnance in Action' show, September 12, 1943. I certify that I am a citizen of the United states by birth. I was born at Los Angeles on 1896 . . .Camera OK, [stamp and signature of] Donald C. Nokes, 1st L[ieutenan]t Ord[nance] Dep[artmen]t, Signed: 'Dick' Whittington" -- carbon copy of War Department page. The negative envelope indicates that the Whittington studio fulfilled one print order.
