9 photographs of babies and children occupied with different activities, including standing in a treehouse and having a picnic, Los Angeles, California, 1941 July 23. "Client: Community Chest, Miss Billard; operator's report - name: Vannice; 10 original photographs 8x10 int[erior]s, 6 locations; in city; Amount: 31.00" - on envelope. Editor's note: a typewritten sheet found in the Community Chest envelope for July 25 shows the entries for the "Pix schedule" on this day, but does not tell which is which: Children's Home at 919 East 25th Street (2 photographs), Salvation Army Day Nursery at 836 Stanford, Volunteers Children's Home at 501 South Boyle, Girl Scouts at the Eagle Rock Playground (Yosemite), Jewish Centers at 2317 Michigan Avenue, and All Nations "air plane" at 624 East 6th Street.
