10 photographs of views in Arizona, 1947 August 1. On or in images: 3 and 8 (negatives no. 1 and 2), men load oranges into a refrigerated truck; 4 (negative no. 3), cattle under a tree; 2 and 6 (negatives 6 and 7), saguaro cactus; 9 and 10 (negative no. 11 and 12), a truck piled high with boxes and furniture, front and back. In 1 and 6 (negatives 9 and 10), a plaque in the shape of the State of Arizona reads: "Wickenburg Massacre: in this vicinity Nov[ember] 5, 1871, Wickenburg-Ehrenburg stage ambushed by Apache Mohave Indians. John Lanz, Fred W. Loring, P. M. Hamel, W. G. Salmon, Frederick Shoholm, and C. S. Adams were murdered. Mollie Sheppard died of wounds. Arizona Highway Department, 1937."
