Survey on the needs for "the elderly and the children" in Shahe Street, Shenzhen，2023

The comprehensive promotion of high-quality development of "the elderly and children" services is a practical need to solve the problems of providing care for the elderly and nurturing children, and is also a fundamental, global, and strategic issue related to China's economic and social development. In order to comprehensively, deeply, and thoroughly understand the service needs and characteristics of the elderly and parents of infants and young children in the community, and to comprehensively promote the development of "the elderly and children" services and formulate more targeted policies, the project team collected relevant data through questionnaire surveys and other methods to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the specific needs and characteristics of elderly people and infants and young children services. This study collected personal information, community evaluations from different dimensions, and service needs of residents in the Gaofa community of Shahe Street, Shenzhen through random sampling. The collected samples were large and representative, which can help us to a greater extent clarify the utilization and satisfaction of community residents with related services. A total of 908 valid questionnaires were collected in this survey. Among them, there were 347 questionnaires for the elderly and 561 questionnaires related to parents of infants and young children.
