Assignment: Yellowtail fishing. Special Instructions: Negs to Gus Newman Plz [sic]. 32/33/62/63: 286-pound Norris Waldorf, 2304 Snowden Ave, Long Beach, chief gunner's mate of USCoast Guard weather ship Ponchartrain, who got in from sea last week and couldn't wait to go fishing, kneels on floating dock at pier point landing to show three yellowtail in 5 to 6 pound class. Couple negs show him holding 6-pounder with jag attached. This jig worked best, better than bait, he said. 'I've been fishing since I was 6 years old, I really like fishing. I've never seen more fish than are out there right now. If those Yellowtail came up together they'd upset some of the boats. You have to see it to believe it.' Gus--this guy fished on Sea Angler at Rocky Point, skipper Don McLean".
