Crab tree on ground at 608 North Painter Avenue; Mrs. Gail Bushgens; Mrs. Jane Bowler (looking at toppled tree); Beverly Boulevard between Whittier and Pico (towns), water two feet deep; Mud at Whittier Boulevard and Norwalk Boulevard being cleared by road scraper.; Supplementary material reads: "1951-12-30. Caption material for Harmon's weather pictures. Carab(?) tree at 608 N. Painter Avenue, Whittier, fell over of its own weight in soft ground -- 50 feet high -- pix show, from left: Mrs. Gail Bshgens of 546 N. Painter Avenue, and Mrs. Jane Bowler of 608 North Painter, the owner. Beverly Boulevard between the City of Whittier and town Pico; low spot, street washed out; pix is taken looking west; water two feet deep. Mud at Whittier boulevard ad Norwalk boulevard being cleared away by a grader. Intersection was covered with mud to the depth of one foot".
