Officer Ralph Clark (rescues boy); Michael Patrick Murphy -- 10 years (didn't realize store was being closed, he was so engrossed in baseball equipment).; Supplementary material reads: "Gershon. City desk. Locked in boy. Police officer Ralph Clark, allays fears of 10 year old Michael Patrick Murphy, 10, 2701 Maine Avenue, Long Beach. Boy engrossed in baseball equipment in a sporting goods stor [sic] at 128 Broadway, Long Beach, didn't realize store was being closed and clerk didn't see him behind stack of baseball equipment. He was released hour after 5:30 p.m. closing time".
